Clinical results in orthodontic treatment
A removable orthodontic appliance contaminated with micro-organisms can induce inflammation of the oral mucosa (stomatitis)
Eleven year old female patient wearing a removable orthodontic appliance day and night (type Twin Block with Bertoni Screw) with clear signs of irritation of the palatal mucosa due to insufficient disinfection of the appliance.
After 1 month of treatment with NitrAdine® ORTHO & JUNIOR, with the continuation of the orthodontic treatment
Controlled clinical trails are currently being performed in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Brasil and China.
Clinical result with denture wearing
Note the almost complete removal of biofilm on the treated dentures. The average percentage of biofilm present on the untreated dentures was 40%, whereas after treatment with NitrAdine®, the biofilm presence is massively reduced to only 3.5% (based on 40 denture wearing patients).
Denture wearing patients were scored for biofilm presence (red staining) on their denture before and after 21 days of NitrAdine® treatment. Note the almost complete reduction of biofilm on the treated dentures.
NitrAdine® does not corrode metal parts of dentures nor does it induce discoloration or distortion of denture acrylic.
